SOCCERKIDS, MUKL AND YFA IN GOALS GALORE

Action from match between Jasmine Putera FC and Little League

Unbeaten Akademi Soccerkids-MBSA, YFA-Bintang Biru and MUKL continued their fine run with big wins in the third week of league matches of the Junior Communty Football League – Piala Sultan Ahmad Shah played on Sunday 28th March at Dataran Petaling Jaya.

YFA-Bintang Muda started the goal avalanche, when in the first match of the day thrashed 10 men Proton FC 10 -1. The two year old academy of former Malaysia Premier League team Proton FC, who are making their league debut, knew they faced a difficult task against their more established opponents and their task was made even harder when goalkeeper Muhammad Aiman Hafiz saw red in the 13th minute of play with the score at 1-4. This opened the floodgates and YFA went on to score six more to hand Proton their first defeat in the league.

SLOW START FROM DEFENDING CHAMPIONS PKNS

Action from match between PKNS FC and MUKL

Defending champions Akademi PKNS FC found the going tough in the first week of League matches played on Sunday 14th March. In their first Group A match against MUKL, the PKNS boys were stretched to the limit as their much improved opponents took the game to the defending champions.

In an exciting match that saw action from end to end, both teams went for the jugular from the first whistle onwards. MUKL boosted by new recruits had a major share of the first half and only some resilient defending from PKNS saw the first half end goalless.
